Tile Cleaning

There are different ways to get rid of the hard water deposits on your pool and spa tile. Most of us are familiar with one – the good ol’ pumice stone and elbow grease combination! The problem with that is it takes so long that by the time you are at the end of the project it’s time to start at the beginning again! And let’s face it, by after about the third tile, we’re ready for a break. Like until next year maybe!

Another method is to replace the unsightly tile. Time consuming. Expensive. Messy.

There are some other options available though.

Glass bead cleaning uses, you guessed it, glass beads made from lead-free, soda lime-type glass. The glass beads are sprayed on the tile at a low air pressure, destroying the calcium buildup. The glass beads then settle to the bottom of the pool, to be picked up by the cleaning skimmer or vacuumed out after the procedure is complete. While many companies offer this type of tile cleaning, not everyone agrees it is the best way.

Pool Pro’s specializes in tile cleaning. They do not use glass beads. Using state-of-the-art equipment, Pool Pro’s beautifies your tile using an environmentally safe and 100% biodegradable process called soda blasting. Soda blasting removes scaling and other buildup from your tile without damaging the glaze or sending the cleaning media through your equipment. After Pool Pro’s has finished not only will your tile look like new again but they will have cleaned your pool and balanced the water chemistry so all that’s left to do is jump in and enjoy!
